Letter withdrawing a child from school
The letter that tells a school a child is leaving — citing your state’s law, and asking for the records you are entitled to.
This letter states a fact; it does not ask permission, because outside a couple of states none is needed. It also asks for the child’s records, which parents routinely forget and then need years later for a transcript.
It is not your notice of intent. Thirty-eight states want separate notice filed with a district, county or state office, and the order matters — what to do first in your state.
