States with money for homeschool families

Education savings accounts, vouchers and tax credits reached homeschoolers in a wave of 2023–2026 laws. Taking the money sometimes changes the rules you are under.

28 of 51 jurisdictions Verified 12 October 2026

The short version

28 of 51 jurisdictions now run some program a homeschool family can draw on, 16 of them with a published per-child figure. Most arrived between 2023 and 2026, and several are still being litigated or phased in.

Read the conditions before the amount. Several programmes move a family onto a different legal footing — testing, enrollment status or reporting that the ordinary home-instruction route does not carry. Money can be the expensive option.
