Will you live to 120?
The Hundred-and-Twenty Question
Seven chapters on the science of living longer — and how to tell it from the hype. It names and works through the things you actually hear on longevity podcasts: telomeres; the epigenetic “clocks” that claim to read your biological age; the senescent “zombie” cells and the senolytics meant to clear them; the nutrient-and-hunger switches behind fasting, rapamycin, and metformin; the free-radical theory (a beautiful wrong idea) and the antioxidants it inspired; protein aggregation; and cellular reprogramming. For each one it asks the only question that counts: is this a real lever on aging, or just a number someone has learned to move? More mathematical than the rest — the equations are right there on the page, where they earn their keep.
